C25K - Week 1
Well, I went on my first walk/ run today and it felt so good to be out early in the morning pretending to be fit! Loved it, and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. But it's only the first day!!!
I'm going to run wednesdays, fridays and sundays. Need new joggers.
Loved the podcast which keeps you going and motivated and encouraged.

My Personal Challenge
Ok, this blog is about my personal challenge for this year.

I am going to try to get fit enough to run the Sydney Bridge Run which is a 9km run. This year it will be on the 21st Sept. I have found a beginners training guide for people who have no running experience. It's a 9 week program (3 days a week) called Couch to 5k, http://c25k.com/ and some guy has been kind enough to create podcasts that you can convert to mp3 and it tells you what to do for each week along with music to run to. Soooooo, that's the challenge, anyone interested in joining me and challenging themselves? The bridge run website also has a 14 week training plan for beginner runners leading upto the event, so that would start Monday 16th June.
So I'm challenging myself to be able to run 5kms in 30mins by the end of April.
I'm sweating just thinking about it!!!!
Our Birthday 2008
Well another year has flown by and Hannah and I have enjoyed another birthday together. Hannah turned 3 and I'm 25 (or there abouts.... ;)) Anyway, we had a little afternoon party on Australia Day (due to other commitments on our actual birthday) and it was a really nice time. Thanks to everyone who came along to share the day with us, we both had a great time.
This year Paul bought me the BEST present, something I have always wanted and would probably never have bought myself. Something old men covet when they retire, something that will keep me very busy for hours and hours and HOURS!!!! I cannot wait to start on it. He bought me a full replica scale model of one of the First Fleet ships called The Supply. It is incredibly detailed and it looks like a mega challenge to build. I can't wait to start on it. I have some other little projects to tackle first though, as soon as I finish my last exam which I will do in the next couple of days.
HMS Supply 168 tons was the swiftest sailor in the first fleet and acted as a scout and message carrier during the voyage. She was the first to enter Botany Bay on the 19th January 1788. Size: L:700mm H:540mm
Scale : 1:56
