Paper Tole Fairy

I'm trying my hand at some paper tole fairies that we got at a craft fair in taree while we were on holidays. Here's the first one which will be a presernt for a little girl's room.

C25K Week 2

Week 2 was pretty smooth. My knees are quite good and I have been trying to stretch properly before and after the run so it seems to be working. Week 3 starts on wednesday and the plan for week three is:

Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then do two repetitions of the following:
Jog 200 yards (or 90 seconds)
Walk 200 yards (or 90 seconds)
Jog 400 yards (or 3 minutes)
Walk 400 yards (or three minutes)

I know I have some sort of dedication as I ran is the rain this morning and was quite happy to do it. Who knew?!!

Fitness Challenge Setback

Well, I got most of the way through week 2 and my knees gave out. I have been limping around for about a week now and my knees are still pretty bad. I'm giving it another week for a good chance for the knees to recover before repeating week 2 and going on from there. I think the crappy old sneakers did me in and so I have gone out and bought some flashy asics gel running shoes which feel amazingly comfortable and definitely reduce the strain on the knees, even just walking around. I am so disappointed that I haven't been able to do my little runs this week, I was really looking forward to them. Anyway, looking forward to getting started again soon.

I have found two running buddies to come on the run with me in september, Elisha and Adriana. We three in a mid-life crisis will be pushing each other to the finish line on that bright spring day. I can just see it now...... ohhhhh so hard to imagine getting anywhere NEAR the end right now. he he heeeeeeee

Holy Cow(s)!!

Here are our new pets, Daisy and Molly. No, this is no joke. We now own two cows who live at Loesje's place and keep her grass down. he he he We plan to start breeding them and increasing the "herd" if you can call two cows a herd ;)
